More Than a Collection: A Recap of Our Piercing Launch Party

The journey to this collection began with our community. I can still see vividly how the piercing station was buzzing all day at our last pop-up at Lyndhurst Terrace, to a point where everyone started asking about when the next piercing event will be. So, we knew we had to come out with more! After our last piercing launch, you told us exactly what you wanted: bigger studs and more color. And we’re totally on the same page.

With this in mind, the team began to brainstorm. We were trying to figure out the perfect theme when our intern, Janine (a lifesaver!), had the amazing idea to pair these beautiful gemstones with nature. Everyone instantly fell in love with the concept and we immediately started playing with fresh fruits and marble stones to get the vibe right for the photoshoot—it was so much fun.

When collection looks this good, a simple online launch just didn't feel special enough. We were all chatting in the new studio, and it hit us: let's throw a party! The planning process was a whirlwind of excitement. I remember everyone on the team pitching in to put together goodie bags and plan the refreshments. I then reached out to the amazing piercer we worked with at last year’s pop-up and we set up the coziest little Piercing Corner.

On the day of the party, we were all so excited we could barely sit still. When the doors opened at 2 PM, the energy was just electric! It was amazing to see so many familiar faces and meet new friends. Honestly, this is my favourite part of the job. We had so much fun chit-chatting with everyone, sharing stories about our own piercing journeys, and showing off our personal ear stacks.

Following our Instagram Stories, more and more people walked in to see what the buzz was about. Our piercer and her assistant were the real heroes, holding the fort as it got busy, but thankfully, everyone who came was able to leave satisfied with their new piercings and jewelry. It was so rewarding to see everyone leave with a huge smile, feeling super confident about their new look. To cap off a perfect day, the team quietly brought out a surprise birthday cake for our co-founder, Michelle, with some of her friends joining in on the surprise.

Seeing everyone at the party fall in love with these pieces, which you all helped inspire, was truly the best part. Honestly, the success of the party was all because of our amazing community. I'm so grateful to our team, our piercer, and every single person who came to celebrate with us.
